Privacy Policy
Last updated 8 September 2026
A1Force Pty Ltd (ABN 37 623 229 327) (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates Rosella. This policy explains how we collect, use and disclose personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
1. What we collect
Depending on how you use Rosella, we may collect:
- account details such as name, email address, profile photo and date of birth (if you provide it);
- trip plans, itinerary steps, messages, expenses, files and who you invite;
- contacts you add, including children’s details you choose to store for a trip;
- technical data such as device type, log-in times and approximate usage of search and AI features;
- payment or identity data only if we later offer paid plans and you choose to provide it.
2. How we collect it
We collect information you enter, data created as you use the Service, and details from sign-in providers (for example Google or Apple) if you use them. If someone invites you, we receive the email address they typed so we can send the invitation.
3. Why we use it
We use personal information to:
- create and secure your account;
- run trip planning, sharing, chat, expenses and reminders;
- show relevant search, map, weather and booking-link suggestions;
- improve reliability, prevent abuse and measure usage caps;
- contact you about the Service, including at support@rosellatrips.com.
We do not sell your personal information.
4. Sharing
Trip members and people with a share link can see the plan content you make visible. We use service providers to host the app, store data, send email, and fetch maps, weather, search and AI results. Those providers only receive what they need to perform that work. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the Service and our users.
5. Overseas storage
Our hosting, database and some third-party APIs may be located outside Australia (including the United States). By using Rosella you consent to that overseas disclosure. We take reasonable steps to deal with reputable providers.
6. Children’s information
Adults may add children’s names and ages to a trip they organise. That information is only for planning with the people on that trip. Do not add a child’s details unless you have the right to do so.
7. Security and retention
We use industry-standard access controls, including row-level security on our database, to limit who can see your data. No method of storage is completely secure. We keep information while your account is active and as needed to operate the Service or meet legal duties, then delete or de-identify it when it is no longer required.
8. Account deletion
You can delete your account in Profile on the web or in the Rosella app, or follow the steps at rosellatrips.com/delete-account. That removes your profile, trips and related content. We keep a one-way hash of your email so signup credits cannot be claimed again by creating a new account with the same email. That hash is not used to contact you. Paid subscriptions are cancelled in the App Store, Google Play, or the billing portal.
9. Access, correction and complaints
You can update much of your profile in the app. To access, correct or delete personal information, or to complain about a privacy issue, email support@rosellatrips.com. If we cannot resolve your complaint, you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).
10. Cookies
We use essential cookies and similar storage to keep you signed in and to make the Service work. We do not use them to serve third-party advertising.
11. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of Rosella after an update means you accept the revised policy.
